We are looking for a nurse with an interest in infectious diseases
With us, you will have the opportunity to work in a varied work environment where each day brings new challenges and learning experiences. We offer you a meaningful and developing job where you work in a team.
Job Responsibilities
As a nurse with us, you will initially work on the ward caring for patients with acute and often complex conditions. Your responsibilities include overall nursing responsibility, sample collection, medication management, and care of various access points, drains, and medical technology equipment.
You will be part of a multidisciplinary team where collaboration is a natural part of ensuring high-quality and safe care. We offer a personalized introduction with mentorship support and regular follow-up. With us, you will gain broad clinical experience and in-depth competence in infectious diseases, as well as opportunities for internal training and participation in the development of the organization. After one year of employment, there is the possibility to apply for specialist training with retained salary.
With increased experience, work in the outpatient clinic may become relevant, where you will meet patients with HIV, hepatitis, TB, MRSA, and immunodeficiency in a subacute setting.
About the Workplace
The Infectious Diseases Clinic is responsible for specialized infectious disease care in Västmanland. We are a smaller clinic consisting of a ward and a specialist outpatient clinic. The clinic is a well-functioning operation with about 80 dedicated employees, where there is a strong sense of belonging and a clear ambition to always do the best for the patient. We are well on our way to our goal - to become Sweden's best Infectious Diseases Clinic.
The work climate here is characterized by helping each other across the boundaries of care and throughout the clinic, and we place great importance on good planning and clear routines. We continuously work on development and improvement efforts in all parts of the clinic's operations.
For us, it is important that you feel good and thrive at work, which is why we offer you:
- opportunities for professional development through internal training
- a workplace for different stages of life, with flexible working hours within certain frameworks
- free access to our fully equipped gym
- wellness allowance of 3000 SEK/year

Qualifications
We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse or are in the final stages of your education, preferably with experience in the profession. If you have previous experience working in a similar setting, it is an advantage. Since you need to communicate verbally and in writing with patients, relatives, and colleagues, good knowledge of the Swedish language is required.
As a person, you are secure, stable, and have good self-awareness. Since the work can change quickly in various ways, you need to be flexible and have the ability to maintain your calm and focus in new situations. You have a good ability to structure your work independently and take responsibility for your tasks. We work in teams and see collaboration and clarity as very important ingredients for success. Since we work closely with both patients and relatives, empathy is an important ingredient in your daily life.
We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
